Firefox is practically endlessly adjustable and extendable browser, which can be adjusted to any requirements of the user. It can be adjusted even without plug-ins.

For example, you want to have the ‘Stop’ button disappear when the page has already downloaded, because it becomes useless then.

Open C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[Profile Code]\chrome\userChrome.css. file

If this file doesn’t exist then rename userChrome-example.css to userChrome.css.

Add to the end of the file the following script:

/* We slyly show ‘Stop’ and ‘Refresh’ buttons */
#stop-button[disabled]{ display: none;}
#stop-button:not([disabled]) + #reload-button {
display: none; }
/* ——————————————- */

Now make sure that the ‘Stop’ panel stands right before the ‘Refresh’ button and restart the browser. If the page is loading then you will see the ‘Stop’ button on the browser’s panel. When the page has been downloaded you will see the ‘Refresh’ button. You have intelligently saved the space on your browser.
